Has anyone fit a dash from a early Sprite or Midget into a later 74 Midget my pad has a few cracks in it but I like the way the early dashs look like? just a thought

I'd imagine it should be a straight forward installation, they didn't change the dimensions as far as I'm aware

It fits but it's a bit complicated. You will need the early steering column and signal switch, the early crash pad and of course the dash. It will bolt up thru the existing holes but there were 2 captive nuts on each side, the later cars do not have those nuts. I have drilled holes in the cowl and used a bumper bolts, you don't see them between the crash pad and the windshield.
