HI
I just want to now if anybody has information about the Healey that was on the earls court motor show in 1957.
I have been told that the car that was shown on the earls court is the one that I have? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

For any information austinhealey@myhre.cc

I can't tell you anything about your car, but I can tell you something about the Austin-Healey shown at the 1957 London Motor Show at Earls Court. Here is the page from the event "programme" that lists the Donald Healey Motor Company display:

1957 was apparently an off year for the small company. There were no record-breaking cars to display, and no new models. The only Healey manufactured at the time was the BN4; no two-seat BN6 and no Sprites yet.

I have the programs from almost all years when Healeys were dislayed, and they appear to list ALL of the cars at the Healey stand each year. Therefore I infer from this listing that there was only the one BN4 there in 1957. I have no way of telling if your car is that one, but perhaps this is of some interest.

If you get confirmation, please let us know, and please also consider writing an article for Healey Marque magazine on what you do know about your Healey. Thanks and good luck.

Hi
And thanks for the information /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I have also been told by another helpful person that says his friend has a car that was shown on Earls court in 1957.

A friend of mine 100-6 was on the Austin Healey stand at the Earls Court show in 1957, it had been painted in the 100`S` colours of Old English White over Lobelia, fitted with the later type cylinder head and had Dunlop Disc Brakes all round. After the show the car was returned to Warwick and sold. Incidentally the first entry in the log book was the Donald Healey Motor Co. All the above information came from BMIHT at Gaydon.

That was what he wrote.

So now I am wondering if it was only one car on the stand ,or if they had more than one??
His friends car was "rebuild" so maybe they had an original car there as well.

My car has wire wheels, hard top,el overdrive and I think I am only missing the radio from the options you could get.
I also have drum brakes in back and front.

I will get a sertificate from BMIHT at Gaydon

Thanks for the photo's austin1957. Enjoyed seeing photo's of Norway without the usual beautiful snowy mountains and log chalet's. Sorry about the poor Toyota PU in the ditch. Were you and your A70 somehow involved?
