3 eggs about a week apart first one s/b ready to hatch anytime. Some concern of the effect the unusually cold winter may have.
3rd year for this bird who was born here. First fall was spent in the Boundary Waters, last year and this year she spent three months in Polar Bear Provincial Park where James Bay meets Hudson Bay and back here to the same tree.

I saw your heading and thought "I hope they play some of their old songs!"

on the other hand, that's great news! My wife is constantly trying to spot eagles in the sky, we often take trips to areas that they are seen in.

They just did a story on the first nesting pair of bald eagles to return to the Pittsburgh area in over 100 years. That's significant. In D.C., there's a famous pair of bald eagles "George and Martha" that have set up shop just south of the Woodrow Wilson Bridge along the Potomac near Mt. Vernon.

I spotted one flying over Black Hill Regional Park near Boyds, MD over the lake. It was totally mesmerizing. I just stood there and stared for a long time. They are truly magnificent...and HUGE!!!

We have a good number of bald eagles in New Jersey.

They are native to the Meadowlands area so folks at football games will occasionally spot them.

Also, can be seen along the Delaware River and The Water Gap as well as the Pinelands in South Jersey.

It's kind of hard to see, but my sister, an avid Delaware river hiker, took this shot of a bald eagle at its nest last year (it was the second year she'd spotted this nest active with eagles)
