E-Type steering rack boots

I'm getting ready to replace the boots or bellows on each end of the steering rack of my '67 E-Type. What are some tips on doing the job so that there is will be a minimum change in the wheel alignment?

Is the job any easier if the jack is under the stub axle so that the tie rod and suspension arms are more nearly parallel to the ground?

Billca:
Just mark everything before you loosen anything.
Once boots are off check joints for play, if any, change now while there. Mark them with white paint marker and maybe measure lengths, about all you can do, take your time and watch your marks.
