E Type 4.2 engine rebuild

Any suggestions for a rebuild shop for a 1968 4.2 jag rebuild - motor runs good (95,00 miles), but rear main seal leakes badly - I'm in reno, nv - midnight

If the only thing wrong is the rear main, trans can be removed and replace rear seal. Might take front suspension drop and oil pan, but a lot cheaper than a rebuild. I'm not in Nev., so shops not known to me.

XKs is expensive, and so is the Jag place in idaho. Have you tried inquiring with the local Jag Club and see what the area members use?

I had mine rebuilt by Dick Maury at Coventry West: https://www.coventrywest.com/rebuilt-jaguar-engines

They are in Georgia, I am in Tucson - but their reputation and seeing a friend's engine they had done convinced me to send it to them.

Not difficult, I laid it on an old tire on a 4x4 pallet and strapped it down. They arranged shipping - about $300 each way which is not much in the grand scheme of (Jaguar) things.
