There is an interesting 67 BJ8 on ebay (red). It appears to have a side shift. And no center consel. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Just looked at it. Had to lighten the photo quite a bit but could finally see the shifter etc. Doesn't look quite right does it.

Vehicle description says:

"Highly original example"
"FACTORY EQUIPTED WITH CLOSE RATIO GEAR BOX"

???????

Pardon my skepticism, but any one that doesn't know that it's a Phase II, not a face II, is not to be believed about that Factory Close Ratio Transmission...

I'm willing to bet that car has 2 BMIHT certificates; one for the chassis and one for the drivetrain.

I thought the "face II" was a bit funny too. Can't claim it was a typo.
