Dynamo to alternator

Hi all,
Does anybody have a description/wiring diagram of how to replace a dynamo by an alternator on a BJ7?

Thanks

Walter

Here is a link to a nice little Moss Mortors technical video, which should tell you most of what you need to know. Several of the usual suppliers sell conversion kits for the 6 cylinder cars. Moss also sells a special dummy voltage regulatior box that allows for the proper connection of an alternator that has it's own internal voltage regulator so the original is not used. In essence , the original regulator becomes just a terminal block with none of the coils or points and no adjustment. I made my own but I'd guess that that item comes with instructions as well. I gutted my own regulator and altered it to work that way with my alternator conversion.

When I installed my alternator, I didn't gut the regulator. There is no need to, just disconnect the field wire.
