The Haggler column appears every two weeks in the business section of the NY Times. He helps people who've been cheated by businesses get their money back if possible. This Sunday it was a complaint against Dusty Old Cars from Maine. I've seen their full page ad in Hemmings. Seems they take consigned cars sent to them by unsuspecting owners, do a lot of unwanted repairs and dump them for low prices. Some people never got any money at all. 88 complaints against this outfit. The owner - a guy with an unpronouncible last name - threatened to sue one gypped party who gave him a bad rating. He just declared bankruptcy but apparently is still in business. Beware!
