I note on the other car forums on this site folks add a picture from time to time. How in the world do they do that?

Do the pic have to be hosted some place?

The simple answer is that yes the pictures do need to be hosted somewhere, and there are some free providers of that facility.

You may note that pictures may be seen in three places.

They may be added to a message using the box labeled "Instant UBB Code" by chosing the "<font color="blue"> <u>Image</u> </font>" option this will then prompt you for the address of the picture to be used and then insert that within a set of bracketed commands:

There other two ways of showing images involve accessing your "My Home" and then editing your "personal information" adding the images (and comments if you want to make them- don't need an image for that, either) to your "signature" which appears at the bottom of every messahe or to the "avatar" that appears alongside the message in the identification block under your name and details.

For the signature note that you have to use the UBB code and provide an address where the image may be added.

For the "avatar" you can chose that option and then browse for an image on you own computer- it doesn't need to be held elsewhere. There are size limits.

I had to "play" with it before I got it right.

Good luck.....
