Drove a Ferrari yesterday!

My Daughter rented a Lotus Elise for her anniversary. Upon arrival, found out the alarm had gone off and disabled the entire electrical system...(Now who would have figured a British car could have electrical issues?).
In order to save the sale, the guy offered to upgrade to the F355 Spider that had just come back...(Oh, well,...They'd have to make do with a Ferrari!) Knowing what a "car hound" I am, they brought it over for us to look at and drive.
First impressions...it's not loud, but announces it's presence about half a block before it gets there. The sound is, in my opinion, the finest automotive noise I've ever heard. The gated shifter would take a lot more time than I had to get used to...it didn't like being shifted in a hurry. Cool looking though!
Don't drive something like this if you don't want attention...You'll find yourself in the middle of a lot of folks' fantacies(Anybody know how to use spellcheck).
The Cops watch it like "hawks", because it was YELLLLOW!!
Pretty cool,...I'm "working" on my wife for a Lamborghini next year.
Take care Bob

A friend of mine had a Lamborghini, he really loved the car but finally sold it. The problem was he could not drive it anywhere without being pulled over by every policeman and park ranger just so they could check it out.

I was tempted to rent a Ferarri for a day while in Hawaii for my job. In the end I couldn't convince myself to part with what would have amounted to to car payments for a one day rental. Maybe when I win the Power Ball.

Same deal here, but in Vegas. I did the math and it was something like $1000/day plus $.50/mile. They have speed governers installed so you cant really let it rip.

If I rented that Ferrari, I wouldn't be anywhere near the city... I'd be heading out into the countryside to do some touring... There is lots of empty highway around Calgary to thoroughly enjoy the experience more completely than puttering around the city...

Surely they would have mistaken you for Magnum, P.I. (as in petrol injection).
