Driving in January

With all the snow we hear about out west, it hurts to say this, but I pulled my Triumph out of it's winter slumber and have been driving it all week. It is supposed to be 50's all this week to so it looks like maybe one more week... I almost feel bad saying that being the snow is deeper than my Triumph is high out in the West.....

I haven't stopped driving my TR6 yet, I hope to drive it all winter long!

I realize our current administration does not recognize global warming , BUT we live 40 miles West of Philadelphia AND . . .

1 - my neighbor saw a baby bird and parent birds in a nest on Sunday.
2 - I saw a robin this morning.
3 - the forcast for Saturday is 60 degrees and sunny.

Maybe just maybe the 250 will come out of hibernation once again.

I drove mine on the weekend and will again this weekend until I pull out the seats. Beautiful weather, if this is global warming I say bring it on!

Don't even mention Global warming to Coloradoan's right now. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif Especially southern Colorado. They got hammered worse than north central Colorado on that last storm.

Were supposed to see close to 50 today though and tomorrow is supposed to be warm and windy which will melt a lot of snow, but there is still two plus feet where it hasn't been shoveled or plowed. Then Thursday night/Friday morning another storm will move in but its supposed to drop more snow in the high country where we need it as snowpack.

Still driving my TR8 though. Most streets I need are passable for it. The only times I haven't been able to drive is when the snow has simply been too deep. Thankfully, our road crews have been pretty on top of the whole isue. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

In Maine, we've had little snow and I've just replaced the outer sills on my 1980 TR-7 Spider. I've also tried to use it year-round and this winter is making that an easy task. Like me, some of you can probably remember buying ski racks for our Triumphs in years past. A tire shop said I was the only person the installer could remember in recent memory who bought snow tires for a Triumph.

Geez, Jeff! Can ya even get it up to a speed to NEED snow tires on the island? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

We had some unexpected snow in December, record windstorms and record rainfall. It has been a crazy winter out west!

It was 55 and sunny here in Mass today. On the way home from Home Depot a beautiful light blue Jag XK140 with the roof down passed me going the opposite direction. I did a double take.

I am getting my TR6 out tomorrow, suppose to be 70 degrees in Charlotte, Global warming? next it will be global cooling

Predicted 65 degrees in Connecticut Sat.

Time to take a nice long ride in the country

It was in the mid fifties yesterday, three more inches of snow this morning. More on the way again. At least the high country is supposed to benefit from this storm as well.
