Yes, in the higher elevations we get plenty of snow. Not as much in the southern part of the state, but still some. In fact we have several world-class ski resorts here in New Mexico (TAOS, Angel Fire, Sandia). This is a bit more than normal, but not unprecedented. It's why I bought this:

Somebody pinch me... I just went for a run outside on December 27th. I'm wearing shorts in the 66 deg sunny skies.

After record rains, finally, some snow today... 1/2" so far (probably going to get an 1" or two).

Add about 5" more. Yup, a couple of feet and drifts.

I would have preferred the snow instead of what we are still getting, water has risen 4 + feet over the river banks around Tahlequah, a couple people lost in the rushing water and so much property damage and that's just in our area. The freeze is coming tonight and the whole mess will create a more dangerous situation. Were in good shape as we live at a higher elevation and have auxiliary power if needed. Wind gusts to 60 mph have also created a lot of damage. Worst weather I've seen around here in the past ten years. City of Tulsa, 50 miles West, is a sheet of ice. Come on Summer!!!

Just heard on the news, the river is supposed to rise another 4 to 5 feet today!

I-40 is closed due to snow and ice from Albuquerque all the way to Oklahoma. Our Gov has declared a State of Emergency.
 
Our son and his wife are here in PA, getting ready to fly back to Clovis NM tomorrow, and then head with friends to ski in Breckenridge for the New Year. We expect our first wintry mix of the season tonight into tomorrow morning for their drive to Newark Airport. With the colder weather today (after a few days in the 70º range), the blossoms are falling back of the neighbor's cherry tree.

Well, since I-40 is close all the way to Oklahoma, I'd be concerned about just how they are getting back to Clovis? Small commuter plane maybe, but I don't think I'd want to attempt flying in to Albuquerque and driving to Clovis (Might want to call State Police for latest conditions). Maybe by tomorrow they will have the roads clear.
 
Of course I found a way to stay warm with this handy desktop fireplace.

40s in SW Ohio and 3 days of near continuous rain. Lawn looks a bit like a swamp with all the standing water. Christmas and Christmas Eve were shirtsleeve weather, don't recall the last time it was that warm round here this time of year.
 
White here all of a sudden. A couple inches of snow and more on the way - sigh - I guess it had to come. On the plus side we got the Blu Ray player working again - so can bundle up and watch the Xmas movies and, when darling daughter went upstairs and found that the wind had blown her window open, I finally got to replace the two latches I had installed backwards, oh, three years ago. Yesterday I did put up the shrink plastic on the master bedroom windows - so our bedroom is noticeably warmer, and, took down the Christmas trees and put away the decorations - so, the house looks normal again.
 
We had snow at Christmas here in Calgary, most years recently we do... Took this downtown on Christmas Eve... About -15 Celcius...
