TR4/4A Door Seals

I am helping a friend with the restoration of his TR4.
He purchased new door seals from two sources. Both sets of seals are too thick to allow the doors to close.

Can anyone recommend a source for door seals that work?

Thanks.
Ron

For 6 months after replacing the door seals on my TR4 (using the original style) I had to slam the doors to get them to close. Eventually they took a set that let them close just fine.

I know of no way to speed up that process.

I bought mine from TRF and had no issues.

Was that the one-piece seal (both fuzzy and rubber seals combined) like a TR6 or were they two separate seals (one fuzzy and one rubber) like a TR4?

Most parts places (like the link above) seem to sell the TR6 seal for use on the TR4 as it is possibly easier to install, especially if that metal channel for the rubber seal is damaged. I couldn't tell from the TRF listing what they sell though I did not see the separate rubber seal listed.

Moss offer them both ways, the stiff ones I was dealing with were the original style from Moss.
