Door Question

I noticed on the bottom of the doors are screws that go up into the door and into those cheap little fastener nuts that are really just a stamped piece of metal. Was there some sort of seal or anything on the bottom of the door that was held on by these screws? Also is anyone here knowledgable about the seals on the side of the windshield that seal between there and the doors. I bought the one that was supposed to be right for my car but the channel for the rubber is wider than the rubber seal edges for the channel. Is the seal for the later model wider? Maybe I have a swapped windshield?

As I recall the seals from the regular sources don't fit properly. Someone will respond as there is a trick to this. I've got a windshield spare that I need to change out to Bugsy.

It seems I remember Jack talking about door seals not too long ago.

Ahh yes, that's me. Bend the part of the body that the seal clips to to get the adjustment spaceing right.
