TR4/4A Door mirror base size

IMG_1629.jpgHi All,
Could someone help I.D. this mirror? It came on the 1964 TR4 I am restoring. The base is nearly 6.5 inches long and the new one is 3. It was a last minute decision to replace it and I am left with a exposed mount hole with the new mirror. I am thinking it came on another car. I have read elsewhere that Triumphs had the mirrors installed at the dealer, could this be a leftover from another make sold at the same dealer? Thank you!

FWIW - I believe the mirror on my 64 TR4 is original to the car but probably dealer installed (Cal Sales in LA). It is not a 'bullet' mirror.

The screws are about 4 1/8" apart.

I have seen that same mirror on many - but then Cal Sales was the biggest dealer back in the day.

I had mine rechromed some years back - that would be one way to deal with what you have.
