Door gap braces on a rotisserie

I have had my 1974 Midget on a rotisserie for some time now. I braced the door gaps before mounting the car on the rotisserie. The floor pan halves were replaced and all the other work has been completed.
I am at the point of painting and it would be easier if I removed the braces. I am concerned that that may not be wise. But when it is on its wheels the support is in a similar location so am I worrying unnecessarily?

Assuming everything else is lined up you are fine. I had mine on the rotisserie for months with no doors and nothing budged.
 
I have started painting the Midget.

This is a Triumph colour, Powder blue. At least it is as close as I could get mixed up. They made me a sample of Iris Blue but it was a little dark for me. I took several Powder Blue codes to the paint store but they could not match them. So the paint person said "I have a friend that may be able to help". Quick call and they said we may have something. I will mix 4oz for you. As soon as they opened the can I knew it was right.

great colour! Though I am a tad concerned that, being a Triumph colour the car will fling the paint off as you drive. :bananawave:
 
I am keeping the braces till I get it off the rotisserie. Easier to do the pipe work and get some of the suspension on while I can turn it over. I had hoped to get the fuel tank on while I could invert the car but I think the mounting points may get in the way.
