Hello all,

Sorry I have not been around. I have been busy taking care of my family (and myself). But I have a bit of time to work on the car again, so I thought I would check in.

Can anyone give advice on door fit procedure? My passenger side door fits okay aesthetically, but it is extremely difficult to open. My wife and kids can't do it. I can because years of wrenching have given my thumbs of steel.

Check to see if the push button is going in far enough. IIRC there is a screw/locking nut on the back of the thumb button. Easy to check ... if there is a bunch of travel on that button before it taps the paddle on the latch mechanism ... it may need adjustment.
 
I forgot to say that my children have the same problem, but they are tall enough and agile enough to hop over the door and look cool doing it.
 
Thank you Trevor. I have adjusted that screw. The driver's side is much easier to open than the passenger side, so I am convinced there's an adjustment I can make to address the issue.
 
Have you tried it without the door seal it see if it just too tight?
 
Obviously the latch plate can be moved, but if you find one spot where the door seal is being compressed way too much then you can gently bend the flange that the seal presses on. I like to use a Cresent wrench for the job.
