I water our yard twice a year - weather it needs it or not.

Sprinkler system... yet another thing to cause work: Plant non-indgenous green stuff all around the house so you need to install pipes, to spend water resources to make it grow. Then expend fuel to cut it down to uniform height when it does. All requiring hours of work, distracting you from LBC efforts and screwin' with napping schedules!!

...not to mention the <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">money</span></span> re-routed from truly worthy stuff like THE CARS.

It's just plain <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">SILLY</span></span>!!!
 
Mostly for the vegetable garden , and shrubbery and porch plants
 
I don't have a standard yard.
About 1.3 acres. Takes a lota trips to use that


Ya know, it's interesting. During the summer the Seattle area is one of the driest in the country.

Doc's idea was a good one, but you might also consider this. You still may get some leaks, but they will be inside :jester:

After cutting a 12" x 24" piece out and beating it to death with a breaker bar I cried Uncle for the day .I think I am almost to the leak.

In Florida, 1/2 the water is used to water lawns and 1/2 of it is wasted. Thank goodness there aren't water issues in Florida.... oh wait....
 
Don't use it on grass to much here. Vegetable garden. House shrubbery and the porch hanging baskets.
Oh yea, the blueberries. Do they count as vegetables?

Don do you pay for your water coming in to the house and also out? or are you on a well
