Wonderful idea. Jerk probably didn't learn anything from it though. We have a pretty stiff fine for that if caught but the penalty should be worse, maybe even lose your license for a while.
 
I like it! Pet peeve of mine too. In Portland, handicaps parkers get FREE parking too. So, there has been a cottage industry to get the passes/permits and park free downtown while working! Then, a city commissioner (who is seriously handicapped) put a stop to it (the free parking part)... and, suddenly, hundreds of parking spaces "appeared."
 
Bugs me too. Along with those who park in front of the door because they're only going to be a couple minutes.
 
And, sadly, I think it's a general mind-set sort of thing. These people do not and will not ever "get" it.

I like both the Italian and French methods.
 
Being one that has had a handicap permit for several years the support shown here is appreciated. I am fortunate enough that I can get around with the use of a cane to keep from tipping over and parking closer to my destination is important especially in inclement weather. Being much slower the less time in the weather is a good thing.

I like to park as far out from the door as I can get.
my rationale is: I can always use the exercise & there are fewer door dents out in the north forty.
