don't have my book, quick torque question

Does anyone know offhand the torque value for the Intake manifold to head nuts/studs. I'm trying to track down a vacuum leak, and in doing so have decided to replace the intake and exhaust gaskets.

For a Spitfire MKIV, Engine is an FK block IIRC.

My manual is in one place, I'm in another or I'd just look it up.

Thanks in advance

I usually tighten until the bolt starts to get loose, then back off half a turn.

Thanks for the input.

the reason for asking is, I had to re-thread two head studs because they were both stripped by the nut that holds the manifold retainer.
This caused a MAJOR vacuum leak. they looked OK but simply turned and turned and turned.

You could choke off the carb intake 100% with the palm of your hand and the engine would rev scarily. This leak was not noticed apparently by the DPO who had set (fiddled with ) the Zenith carb before and it was completly enriched AND had to be run full choked.

It was obvious that someone had replaced the gasket at some point, but used the old rusty studs and twisted that half turn too far.
