Don't call him Shirley

Sadly, saw that a minnit ago.

Awww... one of my favorites. He has clearance Clarence.

He was also Lt. Frank Drebin, in The Naked Gun :

Mayor: Now Drebin, I don't want any trouble like you had on the South Side last year, that's my policy.

Frank: Well, when I see five weirdos, dressed in togas, stabbing a man in the middle of the park in full view of a hundred people, I shoot the ********, that's *my* policy!

Mayor: That was a Shakespeare-In-The-Park production of Julius Caesar , you moron! You killed five actors! Good ones!

Heard that on the radio this morning. What an interesting guy.

He said the comedy turn in his career that began with "Airplane" was what he's always wanted to do in his acting career.

Did it very well. :yesnod:

RIP, Les.

This man has to be taken to Heaven.
To Heaven, what is it?
It's a big place with angels and cherubs, but that's not important right now.

RIP

That our city launched his career many years ago in 1945, when he became a radio announcer prior to his acting career that started in the mid-1950's...

He is a great loss to acting and comedy but did his job very well...
