This is likely my last restoration. I need a new hobby and the shop and garage are full.

Complete frame-off, ground up effort. Everything as it came out of the factory, with the addition of OD. A 3 year effort. My daughter came by on the day I called it "done" and sat for the photos. Black on black on black (piping), with just about everything else chrome (even the windshield motor top plates and the side curtain brackets. Cosmetically Pops and runs great. I think I'll take up bowling. Pat

GREAT job! What a feeling it must be. I'm not there yet but almost. An accomplishment to be very proud off.

Cogratulations, Dick

Very nice TR3!!! You do great work. Three years is pretty quick. When I finished the 250, I did not say "done" because like Geo Hahn said, and as you know you are never done! Beautiful car!

Bowling? Only sport where the ball comes back to you. No effort just throw and throw.

We need more Picts!

Really beautiful work Pat. Congrats on being done. Hope you enjoy driving her!

And 3 years is lightning fast- IMO!

Pat

Very nice. Maybe you should try something a little different. -Like restoring a 1961 TR3, instead of pair of 1962s. Why two of the same year model? Certainly you've got more pictures to share, and I'd like to see some before/after shots. Whatever you do, enjoy it as much as what you have already done.

Cheers

Howdy Pat,

"Very, Very Nice"!! Enjoy the "NEW" ride. It looks like your Daughter already is!!

Best Wishes,

Russ

Looks awesome Pat. You should be proud of that.

Cheers

A friend of mine owns a trim and accessory shop and owned a 49 Cadillac Convertible. Restored and lowered and custom convertible top, very nice show car, that took 5 yrs. Sold car and swore no more after that. The next month he drove to California pulling a trailer and a week later came back with a 67 Chevelle. 3 yrs. later still not done, but driveable. Do not believe car guys when they say they are done. Enjoy your new restored toy until you are bored, then let us know what temps you next. Nice restoration, lots will envy this one.

Great job! But, we do need more pics.

... Do not believe car guys when they say they are done...

How true. After I got done with mine, driving it and all was sort of an anti-climax. What I really enjoyed was the journey restoring it. If I had more room I'd be working on another car. :fat:

Everyone,
Thank you for the kind comments. I attempted to take some additional pictures this morning but my camera is poor and they all came out blurred (my hand wasn't very steady). The picture posted was taken with my daughters phone. I promise to get a few shots of the interior and under the hood soon.

I love Larry K's comment about car guys never really being done. This was my 7th TR3 restoration, and my 13th total for British cars (MGA, MGB, TR3). Can't imagine doing another. Starting to clean out the shop of parts now. BTW, it was just coincidence that the last two TR's were titled as '62's . Again, thanks all. Pat

Very, very nice Pat - congratulations!

Well, not to plant the seeds of doubt, but if I had restored 13 british beauties, I'm not sure I could say a 14th weren't a possibility..
