I'll be making a road trip in my Healey this summer from Portland to San Francisco via the Pacific Coast Highway. I'm planning on visiting the Donald Healey Memorial Redwood Grove along the way. I can't seem to find out where it's it's actually located. Is there a map somewhere? I did read that the sign may have burned. Is that true and has it been replaced?

Unfortunately, not sure how much has been restored (David should know):

The Redwood Grove is in Big Basin State Park, which is south of San Francisco, near Santa Cruz. You may be able to find out the status by contacting the park at Big Basin Redwoods State Park.

I have a vague recollection (well, at my age, that's pretty much ALL recollections...) that there is a Geoffrey Healey memorial thing - a "shelter"? - on the Oregon coast somewhere. Anyone?

Thanks WHT.

Oh yeah, a "fishing shelter" ... in Grants Pass, Oregon ... dedicated to Geoff Healey ... makes about as much sense as naming a curve on the Le Mans race circuit after a famous southern Oregon fly fisherman.

Don't get up, I'll let myself out.

We checked on the grove in Big Basin and couldn’t find the sign after the fires. We were there for the original dedication and have many pictures of the kids next to the sign over the years. Somewhere we have pictures of the back of it with all the donors listed too.

Unfortunately, as per the posted flyer, most of the park and dedicated groves were destroyed.
