My first carb keeps dropping out of sync with the other two every now and then. Runs fine but I have to adjust it once every two weeks to bring the idle back to 1000.

When I am driving its wonderful. Just a little low on idle when standing still.

I'm with Trtyme on carb knowledge, but the engine is bogging at first throttle, like it's too lean or fuel starved or just plain bored with life.

I thought one of the benefits of Webers is that although tricky to set up, once they are set up they don't need to be messed with for a long time. Although unlikely, is there something loose in the linkage between carbs or to the throttle? I have only had a couple cars with Weber's, and I didn't set them up, so not a lot of expertise.

I would say NO Do you have a nonstock cam ? and are the valves set for the extra lift ? Do you have points or other to get the power out of the carbs? and last I would say you are not over carb as you are at almost sea level and most likely run the coast. To note we love your area and do PIR for a number of years. Madflyer
