Does anyone know where this XKE ended up

Right out of college, I bought a very late series II XKE, from a "restorer", I drove it from 78 until 84 when it basically got stolen from me.
(Very long story, envolving Military PCS move, mechanic dying, shop bankruption, and shady lawyers with salvage rights)

I am not attempting to try and reclaim the car, but by any chance does anyone know of an XKE with VIN 2R14075 (I still remember that number after twenty years) If you own it, I have extra keys for it, and a spare knockoff etc..

At the top of the Jaguar forum here, you will find an "EType Owners" list. It is available as a Microsoft XL file and a PDF file bith. You might take a look in that list.

Speaking of spare keys... The 1987 Cavalier I recently scrapped (very reluctantly... long story) was the first car I ever owned and I had it for almost nine years! Anyway, since the scrapyard didn't need the keys I still have them on my key chain and they'll probably be there for a long-time. Wonder if that key fits into any other 1987 Cavaliers?

Also when my parents sold our home back in 1999(the only one I grew up in, they purchased it in 1970 and I was born in 1972) I kept a key for the front door as a keepsake/memory. And no... I have no plans to "test" the key in the front door to see if they have changed locks...

Sherlock,

Maybe you should test the key on the boyhood home and check the garage for any 1987 Cavaliers... it may be your lucky day!

The door keys probably do, but not the ignition keys. GM used crappy door tumblers for a long time.

So I guess I should sharpen up on my hot-wiring skills
