Disc'll brake yer back... Them's the holy rotors of stopping!

OOoooohhh... Nice. Standard "clamps" I presume? Are you gonna need a bias valve with the weight differences you've introduced? I wouldn't ~think~ so, but your "testing" runs will say more than a guess from afar. With them binders and the "diet" you impimented you should be able to go DEEP into corners compared to what it'd be like in standard trim! Can't wait to get the first "shakedown" report.

Impressive!

Standard calipers - got them off to check/clean right now...also cleaning the steering & removing some useless weight from it...shaved .2 pounds off each front hub!

Am worrying about a proportioning valve...if I have to do one, I'll put it where I can get to it while driving...hehehehe

Passenger side floorpan!

Probably up on the transmissiopn tunnel in a panel

just make sure it has a jolly red candy like knob on it that says "Do Not Touch"... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Just so the control puts the bias to the end it's adjusted ~toward.~ That way it's easier to use while you're occupied with "other things" /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Gotta eork that out during practice rns...right now am cleaning up calipers & steering...turned the pinion rod down to about 9/16" - much lighter now

Hope you're keepin' an eye to safety here... there can be such a thing as adding TOO MUCH lightness in some components, y'know. A couple of straight lines painted down the rod, to be inspected after a few laps may be a good idea there... and another rod (stock) in the "spares kit."

I'd rather hear you'd cut the ends, turned an undercut in 'em and welded up a TUBING shaft there...NO pipe: some .125" wall (minimum) TUBING.

Doc - I thought about that but when I chucked it up & started turning it down, I found about 3" of tempered steel down at the gear end...that's one reason I stopped at 9/16 & didn't go down to 1/2...after I paint it, I'll run a white line straight down it & watch for deformation

....remember, I'm adding weight back in with the cage

S'okay... cage GOOD... pretzel steering rod BAAAD. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif
