Since it's from Japan I have a sneaking suspicion the price is meant to be in Yen, which would be about $573 US.And it's "top MINT"!!!

Still a bit "stiff" a price for that optic! The "D" series lenses are "shaft drive" AF, kinda "yestertech" at this point. The 80~400mm I got is one of those. Not quite up to the ring-motor AF-S G-series ones and seemingly a bit less sharp too. Though the primes of the same time period are amazingly sharp. I should have been more specific regarding the noct. My intended meaning was that that lens was in the Ai/AiS era.I think my noct predates AF. It's manual focus only in any event. My 85mm is a later D series that does have auto focus if I have a desire to use it, which isn't often.
