Just to bring this source to your attention. There is a web site called Craigslist that started out here in CALIF. some years ago. A source to post items that you want to sell or give away. I've found it to be a pretty good source for some MG parts and cars. It's now worldwide, or has been for a time. But anyway check it out, www.craigslist.org. Click on the city, or country you are in to find items in your local area.

Here is an example of what you can find on the site regarding MGs.

My dot lives on craigslist looking for apartments. I'm going to have to start helping her pretty soon, she's getting way too comfortable here!!!

arooo? I thought she moved out already?

yeah, Craigslist.org is great for apartment hunting. I'm not too fond of the idea of having to pay a website to let me contact people about places for rent... Especially when half those places on the pay sites are advertisements to go to a other pay site... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

I hadn't thought about using it for sourcing out parts... that's a good idea though. Maybe I'll start window shopping there too... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I advertised my Jaguar for sale on the Atlanta craigslist and received several calls about it. No one's yet approached with cash, but it's getting more attention than anything else I've done, including an add in Hemmings Motor News.

Craigslist seams to be the place to sell cheaper cars <5000.....anything higher you might get some interest but I think most of craigslist audience has a very limited buying power. I check it daily just to make sure theres nothing special....haven't purchased anything yet.

I enjoy the soap-opera aspect of it. There's a guy here in SoCal that listed a MG Midget for $12000 in October, $9000 in December, $4500 the day after Christmas, now he's down to $4200... lists it every week like clockwork.

If this is someone on the list then I apologize for my moment of shadenfruede.

I bought our Suburban off of Craig'slist.
Advantage - Prices in the SF area a lot lower than here.
Disadvantage - Harder to check out a vehicle long distance.

I sold a TV on Craigslist. The first day it was listed I had 10 people call. Sold it the next day for full asking price. I've never found anything auto-related that I'm interested in though.
