First: Thank you for all of the excellent technical advice that the forum members have given me. You guys (and girls) are super. I would have been in real trouble if it were not for the information that you have shared with me. There definitely appears to be a "brotherhood" among Healey owners that makes owning one of these "beasts" special.

Second: Does anyone a have source for purchase, or a spare set of springs laying around their garage, for the model 25 distributer. When I dismanteld my dist, I discovered that the two springs are not identical. One is a much larger spring than the other.

Dave is correct Ray, but I would have to open up one to tell you corectly the physical orientation of the springs. If you removed them I suggest you get a buddy to let you see how his are oriented. I do not know of a surce for the springs or the weights.One more point the loops at the ends of the springs are a loose fit DO NOT CLOSE THEM UP--FWIW---Keoke /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif

I don't think the orientation matters, either spring in either location. The short light spring operates first until the slack in the longer spring is taken up, then both springs operate. Two stage advance. Various generic spring sets are available at most "rod shops". Maybe the springs in yours are ok as is.
