Distributor driving gear orientation

Finally finishing up this engine. Is there a specific orientation for the slot in the distributor driving gear? I don't have the distributor, only the housing with the tach drive so I can't reference where the number one plug wire is. Can anybody help me with this? Thanks
 
The distributor drive slot should be oriented to the "Twenty to two" position as shown in the photograph when #1 piston is at TDC on its compression stroke.
