Distributor drive housing

I'm in the motherland & trying to source one of these: 12A1136
it supports the distributor drive shaft & the dizzy sits in it.

A bit on here missing
The engine I'm building for my frogeye, this was missing.
It's obsolete & I can't find one, so I'll have a look in the scrap yards at the weekend. Does anyone know what other cars with the A-series might have one of these? Is it also an A+ engine part?

It will not be the same as the A+ engines.

I would look for parts from a Morris Minor, A35, early Minis, Kestrels, Elfs, Hornets, and similar. Most early A-series should have that part. It should not be hard to get that part from someone with a collection of old BMC engines.

I've seen them on ebay from time to time...

I've seen them laying around in my spares collection. Unfortunately, it would take me a day to find them again ... assuming I didn't get distracted by something else I found.

Yes Ray, that's it. But the 2nd one you found is only available to USA, 1st. ones ended, I guess I'll have to keep looking. I'm doing a scrap yard search tomorrow, I forgot about the Elf, thought not many of those around.
So it's in everything from the earliest small bore A, but not A+

Thanks

If all else comes to naught, think I have one or two in my stuff. Let me know, they not going anywhere.

Yes, I think they were in all A-series (without change) until they introduced the A+ which has a different distributor mount. You should have no trouble finding one in the scrapyard or a U.K. shop that works on older cars.

This is not engine size dependant either. Be sure to look for donor engines from the 850cc on up.

Thanks JB & Jack, I'll keep looking here in UK for a bit, but no joy in 3 scrap yards so far. Scrap yards here in UK have changed over the last few years, with health & safty law & the high price of scrap metal there are fewer much cars to climb over. May contact you if I don't find anything in a week of two. Thanks
Adrian
