Distributor Cap and Wires Fit

I purchased a distributor cap for my 63 Healey BJ7, but the wires I got from a different source are loose when I try to push them into the distributor. The cap and wires are the top-loading push-in style and not the side-entry screw-in style. Since I cannot find the proper-fitting wires for this distributor with a Internet search, is there a source I can try to obtain a set of wires from that will fit this distributor, or do I have to order another distributor cap and wires from the same source to get a matched set of wires and a distributor cap? The wires are running more than $40 for a set and I already have 2 sets that don't fit due to being loose.

Can you not "expand" the tension clip__for lack of a better term__of the terminal to obtain a tighter fit?

As I visualize a push in distributor terminal, using a small__shirt pocket style__screwdriver and push the clip outward from the inside of the barrel...

For the wire sets I make up, I use what the hot rod guys have and cut them to the length I want, crimping on High the Quality terminals myself.

I think that is what i need, some kind of clip to attach to the end of the wire before i insert it into the distributor cap. Is there a clip like that and a source for it ? i will do some looking on the internet for a clip like this.
