I'm no expert, but I think that might be a bit on the high side for a car that may or may not have all the parts, and comes in boxes (even if the parts are all very shiny and whatnot).
It does seem a bit high. If I were paying that much for a Bugeye I'd want it to at least be running. Shiny parts aside, a car that is put together and runs is more likely to sell even if it is ugly.
Found some time Saturday morning to check out this Bugeye in La Habra. The bodywork and paint are great, although there is some minor "shop rash" on the paint. Nothing that can't be easily corrected. The tub has obviously been chemical dipped and media blasted and was painted top and bottom in big Healey blue. There is 1275 engine for it and a rebuilt ribcase tranny but the head is off of the engine. All the peripheal parts seem to be there but they are original so would be looking at some $$$ to complete the project. He also has a very nice looking BN-2 with chrome wires, new dark green paint and tan interior he is asking $32k for. It isn't quite finished either but looks great. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif
