Discovered the Remains of a Bugeye Today

I was told last night that there was a Bugeye in a Pull-A-Part yard in Nashville. My son and I went there this morning to check it out. When we asked the guy at the counter he (1) thought we were crazy, and (2) couldn't find it in his computer. We went out anyway to check and found it was there (listed as an Alfa Romeo). It had a serial number beginning with 53000 (I didn't bring a pen/pencil to write it down). There was almost nothing left beside the main body shell, the front steering and suspension, and the dash (no gauges). The floor boards were gone, along with the front clip, engine, rear end, tranny, windshield, and other things.

They also had an MGB that was listed as a 1971 Midget. That had many more items on it.

Pull-A-Part in Louisville had a'74 Midget listed, but it was an MGB.

Someone in my British car club told me about a BE at a local yard. I went and checked it out too, but like yours, everything was gone and the body was toast. Too bad!
