The two bottles of Rapid-Fix have undergone chemical breakdown, sediment has settled out forming a 1/2" layer of a sulfide looking "mud" on the bottom of both. No going into solution. Ordered another kit, not to arrive until next Wednesday. Bummed!

Found a few rolls of unprocessed T-Max on the shelf as well, they were going into the tank along with the "new" rolls. Another delay...

The last time I developed film was with tired fluids. Didn't do it enough to be cost effective. At least you found out before you ruined the negs.

Amen.

Decided to do some much overdue housecleaning yesterday, found several gallon glass jugs with mixed chemistries that have to be decades old! About a pint of Dektol in one that could rival the the La Brea Tar Pits in its consistency. One of Kodafix labeled "paper" but full and totally clear, so no idea if it's been used for such, too weak for film fixer in any case. Another full one labeled "Rapid-Fix" with a layer of mung on the bottom, I'd thoughts of the days of silver recovery and had a chuckle. And a few pint containers, re-marked as to actual content. Mebbe all this would be good as weed killer?!? o_O

At least the Photo-Flo 600 will still be good. My Ol' Fella used to put a few drops in his car's windshield washer bottle!

I've waited this long to do the film processing, so a couple more days don't mean much. Got notification the Rapid-Fix delivery date has moved up to Monday anyway.
