Dinner in N'Awlins

Well, just got in the hotel...another great meal...charbroiled oysters on the half shell - I ate at least a couple dozen along with some shrimp & corn bisque...there were more different types of seafood on the table than you could imagine.....Jerri had a N'Awlins style shrimp dish - BBQed shrimp in spices with some type spicey sauce that was great just soaked in bread! WHOO-EEE! & we finished it p with a delicious hot apple cobbler smothered in vanilla ice cream.

I need to get out of this town before I balloon up more than I already am! Heading home tomorrow - well, at least to daughter's house tomorrow night to celebrate my 63 birthday (Wednesday).

Me? They put my '87 XJ6 in a class with 2 old MkI's, Mk2,s, S-Types & a 420G....you guess! They called it the Jaguar Vintage & Classic (Post WWII until 1989) Saloon Class!

At least they were all Jaguars,Tony.

My Midget was put with two Hillman convertibles and an Austin Healey 100/6. It was called "Rare cars,not seen very often."
They Hillmans aren't seen a lot,and were very nice cars. :thumbsup:

O Contrare, Stuart. We do purge our Crawfish with a couple of boxes of salt before boiling the little beauties.

My son had Match Day at LSU Med Thursday before the car show. They boiled 3000 (that would be Thousand!) pounds of the tasty crustaceans for the students and families. They were huge! Raised in a Crowley rice field.
