This just popped into my mind. Not sure what th' trigger was.

Back-when, as I was between First Wife and Lovely Horsemits I dated a girl... and I know you guys find it astounding even ONE woman would have anything to do with me, but... traveling in the Elan, top down scooting along the Ohio Turnpike, some "thing" appeared in our path. Tire separation from a truck ISTR.
Well, this PERSON reached across and tried to GRAB the WHEEL!!!

She didn't have to walk home but the relationship ended rather abruptly. She couldn't understand why I'd be upset...

I've dated a couple women metaphorically like that. Trying to steer me in the wrong direction and otherwise attempting to control my life because they thought they knew better.

With me it was a high buddy with no brain he relied on his buddies to keep him from getting killed. I was driving thru Oak park with some freinds and him in the back seat.
A girl we knew from school was riding her bike on the edge of the drive. His goofy idea filled head tells him to reach out the window and slap her on the butt, bad plan worse aim. He misses her and gets his fingers caught under the seat she flys of the bike, bike crashes into the side of my GTO and he breaks two fingers. His life was filled with injury riddled stupid mishaps.

Some people just dont have the part of the brain turned on that says hmm is this a good idea?
