TR2/3/3A Dimensional discrepancy in Moss trunnion parts

Moss replacement trunnion 661-440 uses a lock washer (324-910) which works by interference fit on splines on the trunnion studs. The splines on the new trunions, at 1/2 inch, are almost 1/32 larger in diameter than the originals. The lock washers are apparently sized for the oem splines. After stripping a nut trying to push a lock on, I drilled the lock to 31/64. After pressing it on in that size, it fit tightly enough that I couldn't tap it off with moderate hammer and chisel effort.
