Differential Strap

Hey Guys
Do I have this strap on correctly or is it backwards? Seems like it should be installed the other way with more room to the back of the differential. I have hundreds of photos but none show it at the right angle. Not even sure it is all that different if I install it the other way.

Making decent progress now. Got the diff seals and new rear axle bearings in, new rear brakes, and all painted or powdercoated. Brake lines today - maybe parking brake install too.

Thanks

Pat

Hi Scott

Thanks for referring me to this string. It is exactly what I needed.

Pat-

Very nice! Are you planning on installing the rear axle buffers? Now is probably the better time to do it.

Curious, but did you redo the rear shocks? I was guessing that HD means heavy duty?

Hi Randy

I installed buffers today. Used the Revington purple poly type. Had to stand on the frame and pull up on the diff with all my might to make room to slide them on.

I had Apple Hydraulics rebuild my shocks - they offer a heavy duty version for an extra ten bucks.

Nearly finished brake lines today. I need more practice. Darn kit from Moss fit so poorly that I had to run to my FLAPS and buy a short section of brake line and a flaring tool. Lines were either too long or too short. The double 45 degree flare isn't so difficult, I'm learning.
