Differential question

Have a '72 Vixen (2500). Was able to renew the pinion seal but cannot figure how anyone could pull the diff on the car. Its literally in a box. Also, can't find the diff breather supponsedly on the right upper side of the case. Do all the TR6 diffs have the breather?

Since this is a Triumph part, you could ask on the Triumph section of British Car Forum (if you have not already done so).

It's not real busy here at the TVR section, but you may get an answer in a while.

Also, welcome to BCF!

Thanks for the reply. The Triumph guys won't know as the TVR frame is completely different. I've concluded at this point the cutting the floor is the only way to pull the diff. Maddening.

Old post and I hope you didn't cut the floor. My cage unbolted and I replaced the TR6 with a Salisbury center
section from a Jaguar. I have had it out several times and have never had to cut the body.
