If one were to join just one of either the Austin Healey Club USA (AHCUSA) or the Austin Healy Club of America (AHCA), which would you recommend?

I'm sure they are both good in their own ways, but I only want membership in one or the other.

At this point, I am primarily interested in technical articles as I am just starting a major restore project.

I always recommend that people join both and then make up their own mind.

Can't imagine why you would impose an artificial criterion such as wanting to join only one... unless you're determined - in your first-ever post here - to stir the pot to try to create some excitement! :nonono:

If you're undertaking "a major restore project," the cost of membership will seem highly insignificant.

Good luck.

Both! If you only want tech info, just get Tech Talk by the late Norman Nock form British Car Specialist. He wrote much of the tech stuff that was in the club magazines over the years. Dave, his son, runs the place now, in Stockton, CA. He is a world of information too. And he is "just around the corner" form you. They restore, repair LBCs, and sells parts (they are a Moss distributor as well as other parts, new and used) and free information.

BOTH!!!! Why you and that other fella wanna clutter up the house with all them magazines you can only read one at a time.---Keoke--

I say join both as well, it's not like it costs a fortune. I enjoy both clubs myself.

In terms of technical content, I think AHUSA has the edge with their continuing how to restore series by Moment/Anderson. These articles are full of detailed facts and restoration tips.

I agree with all of the above that with the cost of one idea gleaned from
one of the club mags will more than pay for the membership. I do recommend
the Roger Moment/Gary Anderson Restoration series in the AHCUSA mag which you
can get right online via a pdf. Outstanding series to read and learn.

Mike

How about a link to save lots of time searching?

:savewave:

Google "ahcusa,org

Select the following entry on the displayed page:

" healey.org - The AHCUSA Website healey.orgOct 28, 2009 ... The Austin Healey Club USA (AHCUSA]"

All the material in the magazine is available to members in the following modes:

1] PDF
2] Print
3] Email

Additionally a magazine index is available by year for downloading also.

I enjoy membership to both clubs...love receiving as much Healey porn in the mail as possible.

Although I imagine they could probably merge and with pooled resources produce a magazine with more/better content, politics notwithstanding.

Although I imagine they could probably merge---Yep that is imagination alright---Keoke---

The merger of the two clubs will be made public soon as will the announcement of the release date for the all-new Austin-Healey.

Great Michael but I am not going to hold my breath----Keoke---
