MGB Difference in clutch master cylinders?

So Moss lists 2 clutch master cylinders for the MGB. An AP brand for $160 and a different one for $42. Same thing with the slave cylinder -- there's a $30 and a $104 part. I'm not at all against spending the money if the part is really better, but that's a substantial price difference if there is no functional difference. They also sell a kit for $80 that is MC, slave, and hose.

Anyone have experience with any of these options? Would love to save some cash, but only if the quality is there. I'll spend if needed.

I got a brake m/c from Moss for the '74 Midget,
later noticed that it was "Made in China".I sent it back,&
bought one from BPNW that was a TRW/Lucas one.

Get the more expensive clutch m/c. I used the aftermarket one on the 1972 MGB...in order to check the clutch fluid, I had to remove to cap of the brake m/c. (A switch back to the TRW/Lucas cylinder was made this week.)

One gets what one pays for.

Thanks. That was I was thinking, nice to have the confirmation.

Decided to go all in, got the full setup (master cylinder, hose, slave, etc) from BP Northwest. Will be a nice weekend project one of these days.
