Dielectric Grease alternative

It's one of the few things I can't find after our move and I haven't seen it in stores. Is there something else I can use?

Doh! Thanks Mark, I am clearly overthinking this - tried the specialty places without checking the obvious

Is there something else I can use?

When I run out of dielectric grease (and I did years ago) I usually use wheel bearing or "grease gun" grease. I have also used Vasaline.

Dielectric grease is an insulator and its purpose is to make a secure mechanical connecton "gas tight" so that the contacts do not corrode in air.

Besides, maroon bearing grease is kinda' purty.

I wondered. - my question was just to that - though I was thinking not if its insulating properties but of its current flowing properties and didn't know what other products did the same thing. BTW did get the grease - used it and other than the fact that fir the life of me I can't find the cap for the tub, all is well.
