Didn't like that fender anyway

Oops! Wet onramp, squeezed down to an 8'lane with those cement barriers, a little grease spot and just as soon as the back slipped out, we bit the barrier. No damage other than fender, a few lamps and minor bend to bumper.
Having done my teething in a Bugeye, recovering from severe oversteer is second nature, but here there was simply no time to even react.
Oh well, now with the fender, bumper, hood and grille off, there's a good chance to get the underhood area all cleaned up.
Anyone near Texas have a FL fender?

ahhh... I smell the beginning of shipwright's disease /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

well... since I've already got the fender and hood off.... might as well check the suspension bushings... and the radiator is looking a little skanky.... and now that the radiator is off... I should check this water pump.... since the pump is off I might as well pull the head... since the head is off why don't we pull the engine too... dang this spot under the firewall looks a little rusty...

next thing you know it's in a pile of boxes and you've sent the frame out for powder coating....

Good Luck !!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Glad you're OK, thats the important thing... good thing you had those crumple zones!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Yeah... my engine rebuild started off as a project to replace the drivers side rear brake cylinder... funny how things quickly avalanche.
