Just been doing a little research on the oil consumption. The block is from a 72 TR6 #CC79173U . From what I have read the CC blocks are perfectly flat. The CR blocks have a recess around each cylinder. I was under the assumption that I have a recess in the block so I installed the head gasket with the little tab in the back. I have the other head gasket in my spare's I am looking for a little advice before I remove the head....

Yes the engine # is CC79173U
head # is 218227

Nice looking engine, but sure looks like a recess block to me.
