Delco conversion website

For those of us laboring through a Delco alternator conversion for our TR6, I found a good website that shows one man's tricks that seem to work well. Funny that I have done essentially the same mods that he has done to make it work. Guess we all think alike. The conversion, for those out there that have done it, is not a cakewalk. The electricals, thanks to Dan Masters, is straightforward. It's mechanicals that require some forethought and planning.

Hrm. It's a shame that he says that the alternator comes with the "wrong" pulley without giving any info on which one he ordered. For our 69 we had the same narrow pulley as him but it was "right" as our 69 has 3/8" belts instead of 1/2". He probably just chose the lowest amperage output and asked for it, which was on a car that had 3/8" belts from the factory. If you asked for an alternator for say a 79 Jeep CJ7 with a 304 V8 you should get one with a 1/2" pulley but it would be a higher amperage.
