TR2/3/3A Delaney Galley heater

While on our way to the "British Wheels on the Green" car show in Madison, CT this past Saturday, the heater hose going from the scuttle to the heater "popped" off spewing 185 degree antifreeze onto my wife's legs. After a trip to the ER and a flatbed trip home, I finally began to troubleshoot what went wrong. I found no hose clamp on the hose in the car, so I'm assuming there never was one and unfortunately picked a time when I had a passenger to let loose. My wife is ok, but has 2nd degree burns where the antifreeze soaked into her socks.

Although I knew the heater was not an original Triumph heater, I've been busy doing other things since buying the car in 2010 and have ignored the heater until this weekend - simply because I haven't had a need to ever use it. Hopefully I'll be successful in posting the picture of the Delaney Galley heater that is mounted upside down in my car (otherwise please follow this link - https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5453/10039295235_0068489112_o.jpg ). I've been unsuccessful in determining the model and still trying to decide whether I should remove it and buy an "real" Triumph heater. Does anyone know anything about these? What cars were they on originally? Will it run upside down or should I mount it right side up?

BTW - I had planned (and already purchased) insulation for a winter project, but since I had to pull up one side of the carpet to scrub out the antifreeze, this winter project is coming early this year.

Can't help on the ID, but I do know that the Delaney Gallay heaters were considered quite good, sometimes far better than comparable Smiths units (I know, what a shock). Hopefully someone will ID it, as I'm sure it would have some value to someone!
 
Sorry your wife got hurt. This is one of the reasons why I removed my heater altogether.
I sometimes feel that the oil line going up to the oil pressure gauge poses a similar risk, but at least it's metal.
