Anyone know of a dealership (name & location) where Healeys were sold in Northern Kentucky in the 60s? My mom says they bought ours somewhere in Northern KY close to downtown Cincinnati.

Why? Do you have some warranty work to be done?

Thanks for the link. I found the name of the dealer in Fresno, CA where my 1960 BT7 was purchased by the original owner. I've often wondered who the dealer was. The Heritage Certificate says it was imported by Hasbro but I think that was the firm that handled most of the Healeys imported anywhere in the US at the time.

This is from a Road and Track ad in the late 50s or early sixties I think doesn't cover Kentucky, if you can't read on the forum I can send a higher copy scan on request, covers the midewest from Ohio to the plains states.

Rick, You are correct, Hambro was the company. If I recall, they were always listed on the Healey advertisements of the time.

LOL!

I enjoyed looking over the circa 1971 list of MG Dealers. I first sat in a Big Healey driver's seat in the lot of B.J. Epps Motor Co., Hyattsville, Maryland, in either March or April of 1973. The Healey I sat in was a "back lot" car which needed lots of work. Side by side, on the front of the lot were two really nice 3000 convertibles, one was black and the other was BRG. One of these was priced at $2,195 and the other $2,495, but I don't recall which price was on which car. Those two were really great examples, but as a recent college grad working a clerical job, those prices were way more than I could afford. Not long thereafter, I wound up buying a 1965 Big Healey from a private owner, also located in Hyattsville. Later that year, I moved back to Ohio and have lived in this state ever since (and still own the car). Do any of you DC area people remember B.J.Epps?

Very interesting list of British car dist. from the 50's. It shows that the main Studebaker auto distributor also sold LBCs? Seems like a serious conflict of interest there to me. I need to dig into some of the old local library files
on this subject. Thanks for the article.

Studebaker is who also brought Mercedes-Benz to the USA. Their dealerships sold Mercedes before Mercedes North America was formed.
