In my search to find a more comfortable place to put my left foot for long drives, and better positioning on the other 3 pedals, I offer my solution for your viewing pleasure :cooler:....

Dead pedal and pedal positioning

I'm finding this combination really good for me. I'm about 5' 10" with size 9 1/2 shoes so your pedal placement could be adjusted to your size. This may give someone a place to start.

I'd be interested in the solutions others have come up with.

Steve - A dead pedal is a must especially when racing a big Healey. I find a "super size" pedal gives me added support while cornering a high speeds. I have also modified my throttle pedal for easier head-toe braking.

In this picture you can just make out the air-duct from my rally vent at the upper right. This really helps to lower the air temperature around my feet when racing in the summer.

Excellent job on the write up. After I install a set of Dr. Nordquist's narrower pedals I might even be able to get my 11 1/2" shoe over to the dead pedal location! The Denis Welch alloy pedals make that impossible at the moment.

Dougie, I do love the look of those pedals but my feet would have a hard time with them. Living out in the sticks in Colorado, I'm usually wearing hiking boots and they don't navigate between close pedals very well.

Lin, I'm looking forward to seeing those pedals. Mick hasn't sent me a pic of them. I may want to go that way....they sound great.
