Seen today as I was driving back from Princeton (sorry....no photos):

A BMW X6.....painted dull, flat black. I would assume the value of a real paint job on an X6 is at least $7000. A new X6 costs about $65K and even the used ones are $30K. Who would paint one with $20 worth of rattlecan paint?

An Aston-Martin DB-4. Silver, just like JB's DB-5. On a roll-back truck. I was sort of surprised it wasn't in an enclosed transporter. Magnificent!

A nice, red BMW Bavaria (remember those?) doing about 90 mph on Rt. 287.

A tatty old Miata painted flat black (what's with the flat black "fad"?). It had some sort of (poorly done) hand-painted pictures on it. Top down. Unpleasant-looking in a juvinile sort of way. If I was the driver, I'd have worn a disquise.

A cool-looking CAP-21 airplane (with sunburst wings just like my old u-control models) just rotating as I drove past Princeton Airport.

Could it be possible that X6 might have had a vinyl wrap? - and I should add we saw a matte black X6 in Montreal when we were up for the Canadian GP and the owner was explaining to onlookers that it wasn't a wrap or aftermarket paint but that it was one of not many done by BMW in "frozen black". Here's more on "frozen": www.youtube.com/watch?v=khYHWhku-0E
